Esteban Arango is an award-winning Colombian-American writer/director working in film and television. His sophomore feature film, Ponyboi, premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival as part of the US Dramatic competition to rave reviews and critical acclaim and will be released by Fox/Tideline in the summer of 2025. The film features stellar performances by an all-star cast including Murray Bartlett, Dylan O'Brien, Victoria Pedretti, Indya Moore, and a breakout performance by intersex writer and star, River Gallo, in the titular role.

Blast Beat, Arango’s feature film directorial debut, was produced by Charles King’s Macro Ventures starring Moises Arias, Mateo Arias, Diane Guerrero, Daniel Dae Kim, Wilmer Valderrama, and Kali Uchis. “Blast Beat” also premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival in competition, an achievement for which Variety named Arango one of 10 Directors to watch that same year. "Blast Beat" was released by Sony Pictures and Vertical Entertainment in select theaters in the United States and on digital platforms everywhere in 2021.

Arango’s work has screened in front of audiences at prestigious film festivals around the world to much acclaim. He is known for creating striking visuals and a lyrical style that can also be seen outside of his narrative films, most notably in the music video for ¿Teo’s? Uno Dos featuring Jaden Smith, and in his body of work in commercials and network promos that has earned Arango several prestigious Promax BDA and Telly awards.
